LVT(A)s headed for the beach. They preceded the troop carrying LVTs to provide last minute gunfire against the Japanese beach defenses. They were armed with .30- or .50-caliber machine guns and either a 37mm or 75mm anti-tank gun in the turret. In this view, the LVT(A) mounts a .50-caliber and the 75mm gun.
