Military Snapshot - USS Missouri Celebrating Anniversary of Japanese Surrender


The last battleship built by the United States, the USS Missouri was the site of the surrender of the Empire of Japan which ended World War II. In this photo, the Missouri's crew celebrates the fourth anniversary of the Japanese surrender on her decks. Turret two is trained as it was on September 2, 1945.   1. Awsome site,what i would give just to stand on that ship's deck. My life long dream is to visit Pearl Harbor,and I will some day to see the mighty Mo with my own eye's,and magnificiently enough she is docked near the Memorial of the USS Arizona,god bless the Navy
